Sylina Valdez is the Programs Director in the Early Childhood Division. She holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Texas at Austin and has over 20 years of experience in early childhood education as a teacher, instructional coach, and district leader. Her main work at TEA focuses on access to prekindergarten, high-quality early childhood programs, public-private prekindergarten partnerships and grant management.
