TEA Releases Spring 2025 STAAR® End-of-Course Assessment Results
AUSTIN, Texas – June 10, 2025 – The Texas Education Agency (TEA) today released the spring 2025 results for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) high school End-of-Course (EOC) assessments. These results are a key measure of how Texas students are performing in Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II and U.S. History.
This year’s results show modest year-over-year changes, with gains in Algebra I and Biology and slight declines in English I, English II and U.S. History.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced that more than $481 million in Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) funds were awarded for over 42,000 designated Texas teachers during the 2024-25 school year.
TEA Announces Extension of Houston ISD Intervention and New Appointments to Houston ISD Board of Managers
AUSTIN, Texas – June 2, 2025 - Following a review of local feedback and a comprehensive evaluation of Houston ISD’s (HISD) progress, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) today announced the extension of the intervention in Houston ISD and the appointment of four new board members to the Houston ISD Board of Managers.
