Timely Initial Evaluation (Child Find)
State Performance Plan Indicator 11
SPPI 11: Measurement
State Performance Plan Indicator (SPPI) 11 measures the percent of children who were evaluated within 60 days of receiving parental consent for initial evaluation or, if the State establishes a timeframe within which the
evaluation must be conducted, within that timeframe. Texas establishes a state timeline in Texas Administrative Code §89.1011.
SPPI 11: Data Source
The data source for SPPI 11 is the Special Education Data System (SPEDS) Summer submission in the Texas Student Data System (TSDS). Local educational agencies (LEAs) submit student level data for children who had an eligibility determination date during the annual data collection period.
