SPPI 6: Data Source

The data source for SPPI 6 is the same data as used for reporting to the U.S. Department of Education under section 618 of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), using the definitions in EDFacts file specification FS089. Local educational agencies submit student level demographic data specific to the amount of time spent in special education locations during the fall Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) collection.
