Texas Public Schools Sesquicentennial Handbook

The state of Texas has provided a free public education to the children of this state since 1854.  As part of the  sesquicentennial celebration, the Texas Education Agency in 2004 produced the  Texas Public Schools Sesquicentennial Handbook (pdf).

The handbook provides a brief history of the public school system and suggested ways school districts could celebrate and preserve their history.
