Odell Texas High School Literacy Program
Core ELAR Instructional Materials for Grades 9–12
Freely available in perpetuity
The Odell Texas High School Literacy Program is designed to be flexible to account for the various scheduling and instructional needs across Texas high schools. The program inspires creativity, builds knowledge, and enhances skills through student-centered and student-led analyses of robust texts and topics. Students pose questions, inquire deeply, reflect, and evolve as independent thinkers and engaged participants in a learning community.
The complete program includes a foundation unit for the beginning of the year of each grade and an application unit for the end of the year. Development units can be chosen from five available options with varying numbers of days per unit for the remaining units to complete the scope and sequence.
