Description: This website, https://mentalhealthtx.org, provides links to all crisis phone numbers for mental health help in Texas including: 2-1-1 and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. It also provides an easy search function for public mental health and counseling services that are available to each zip code and address in the state.

Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Services to At-Risk Youth (STAR) Program

Organization: Department of Family and Protective Services  
Description: The STAR program provides free family crisis intervention, counseling, and support services in all 254 Texas counties. The STAR program serves children and youth (ages birth to 17 years) and their families, regardless of income, who are experiencing crisis or conflict at home.  Each STAR program can be contacted through 24-hour crisis helplines.
