In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004 [20 U.S.C. §(b)(2)(C)(ii)(I)], its implementing regulations at 34 CFR §300.602, and recent federal guidance from QA 23-01, TEA is pleased to announce the release of the FFY 2022 State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR) regional and statewide public reports on the TEA website.

The SPP regional and state reports were posted on the TEA website March 15, 2024. The SPP/APR LEA indicator reports will be published on April 30, 2024.

Public Access SPP/APR Regional and Statewide Reports

To access and download the SPP/APR regional and statewide public reports, visit the Local Education Agency Public Reporting webpage. Navigate to the “State and Regional SPP/APR Indicator Reports” section and choose the FFY 2022 State and Regional SPP Indicator Reports (SY 2022-23).

Users can access the statewide SPP indicator report along with the 20 ESC reports. The state and regional SPP indicator reports provide the public with a detailed overview of key federal performance compliance indicators related to special education in Texas. The reports cover areas such as graduation rates, dropout rates, math and reading participation and proficiency, suspension and expulsion data, child find, and effective transitions. They offer insights into the performance of students with individualized education programs (IEPs) across different grade levels, highlighting areas of progress and areas needing improvement against targets set by both the federal government and the State of Texas with advisement from stakeholder groups.

TEA encourages all Texans to review the SPP/APR regional and statewide reports and participate in meaningful conversations about public education within their local communities.
