Financial Aid Graduation Requirement Advisory Committee

TEC, §28.0256(f) requires TEA to establish an advisory committee to assist the agency in adopting rules to implement the new requirement that students complete and submit a financial aid application or an opt-out form as a requirement for graduation. The advisory committee must be composed of

• school counselors
• school administrators; and 
• stakeholders to represent the needs of interested students.

Tentative Date

The committee members will be announced in January 2020 and meetings are expected to begin in February 2020
