Statewide Training Series

2023 Spring Statewide Training Series

The Federal Program Compliance Division is announcing a series statewide virtual training opportunities for Local Education Agencies, Education Service Centers, and the public related to federal grants administered in the Division.  The training series will take place in January, February, May and June 2023.  Training will be provided by the Program Directors.  A link to access the voice-over presentation and handouts will be added to this webpage after each training.  There is no cost for the training.  Captions will be provided for all the training opportunities listed below.

Registration Information

Registration for the each of the trainings is being handled by the Title I Capacity Building Initiative at Education Service Center (ESC) – Region 20.  If you do not have a user account through Connect20 (ESC-20’s Registration System), you will need to create an account. For instructions on how to create a new account, access the Connect20 Registration Instructions.  If you have any questions or need assistance with registration, please email TICB@esc20.net.

Title IV, Part A Program Objectives and Measurable Outcomes Data Collection - Session ID 92810

Session Repeated on 1/13/2023

Participants will learn how to submit requirements for its 2022-2023 program objectives and intended measurable outcomes in the new Title IV, Part A LEA Special Data Collection WorkApp that opens January 17, 2023.  The training will include Title IV, Part A data requirements, reporting cycles, and a view of the new WorkApp collection system for program objectives and measurable outcomes to be publicly reported as required by statute. Let’s Make a Deal: An LEA’s Provision of Providing Equitable Services, Ongoing Consultation Meetings, and Shared Collaboration with Participating Private Nonprofit Schools - Session ID 94138

Collaborative Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CCNA) - Session ID 75372

TEA will showcase a new resource that brings together the Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) requirements and recommendations for Title I, Part A; Title I, Part C; Title II, Part A; Title III, Part A; and Title IV, Part A. The Collaborative Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CCNA) is a means for LEAs to work together, collaboratively with a common purpose to ensure federal programs compliance and coordination of federal programs.  The tool will provide an efficient use of time rather than duplication of effort; ensure that the CCNA is a comprehensive process rather than an event; and establish a culture of continuous improvement to maximize the use of federal funds.  CCNA is not a TEA or program requirement.  It is to be used as a tool and a resource.
