Statewide Training Series

Session & Registration Information

The Federal Program Compliance Division is announcing a series statewide virtual training opportunities for Local Education Agencies, Education Service Centers, and the public related to federal grants administered in the Division.  Training will be provided by the Program Directors.  A link to access the voice-over presentation and handouts will be added to this webpage after each training.  There is no cost for the training.  Captions will be provided for all the training opportunities listed below.

Registration for the each of the trainings is being handled by the Title I Capacity Building Initiative at Education Service Center (ESC) – Region 20.  If you do not have a user account through Connect20 (ESC-20’s Registration System), you will need to create an account. 2024-2025 ESSA Consolidated Application Comprehensive Statewide Virtual Training

This full-day, comprehensive training will provide attendees with information on how to prepare for the submission of the 2024-2025 ESSA Consolidated Application and step-by-step instructions on how to complete all the schedules within the Application.  Time will be set aside at the end of the presentation for responses to questions submitted during the presentation.

2024-2025 Title I, Part A Within-LEA Allocations Training and SC5000 Instructions

The training will provide attendees with the processes associated with Title I, Part A within-LEA allocations. Participants will learn about the statutory requirements related to determining poverty counts, identifying Title I, Part A eligible schools and allocating funds to eligible schools. Participants will also learn about changes to the SC5000 – Title I, Part A Campus Selection schedule in the 2024-2025 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application and how to complete the schedule. Time will be set aside at the end of the presentation for responses to questions submitted during the presentation.

2024-2025 Federal Program Compliance Division Program Monitoring Statewide Feedback Session

Description:  The Federal Program Compliance Division is proposing a redesign of the current programmatic compliance monitoring process for the federal programs administered in the division, known as the Random Validation monitoring process.  This session will provide an overview of the redesign, which will be piloted in 2024-2025, and is intended to solicit feedback from LEA and ESC staff administering federal programs.

Federal Program Compliance Division LEA Program Compliance Dashboard Statewide Feedback Session - Session ID 102273

The Federal Program Compliance Division is proposing an internal system for informing the Agency’s risk assessment process based on all the monitoring activities conducted by the Division.  This session will provide an overview of the proposed LEA Program Compliance Dashboard and is intended to solicit feedback from LEA and ESC staff administering federal programs.
