The purpose of this communication is to provide information about the A–F Estimator available in TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability.
A–F Estimator
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is excited to announce the release of the A–F Estimator which is now available in TEAL Accountability. The A–F Estimator provides school districts and open-enrollment charter schools with a way to calculate and estimate their 2019 performance in each domain and overall. The tool prepopulates domain and component values with 2018 results. District and charter school users can enter 2019 component values to estimate the corresponding 2019 domain and overall results. The accuracy and validity of the estimation is based solely on the data inputted by the district or charter school.
Domain and overall rating estimations in the tool are based on 2018 accountability system methodology and are intended as a planning resource for districts and charter schools. The A–F Estimator will be updated to reflect 2019 methodology in late June.
Given feedback from the Texas Association of School Administrators Cabinet, TEA plans to release the A–F Estimator for public use on the TEA website after receiving feedback from district and charter school users. Please feel free to email suggested improvements to the tool to performance.reporting@tea.texas.gov.
How to Access the TEAL Accountability Application
- Log on to the TEA Login (TEAL) secure portal at https://tealprod.tea.state.tx.us/TSP/TEASecurePortal/Access/LogonServlet.
- If you have access to TEAL Accountability, you will see ACCT – Accountability listed as one of the web applications. Launch ACCT – Accountability.
- Superintendents who do not have access to TEAL Accountability must request a username and password through the TEA Secure Applications page at https://tea.texas.gov/About_TEA/Other_Services/Secure_Applications/TEA__Secure_Applications_Information.
