Updated Process for Obtaining 2026 Authorized Provider Status
Becoming an Authorized Provider
Thank you for your continued commitment to supporting Texas school boards. This page contains important updates to the Authorized Provider process, following recent amendments adopted by the State Board of Education (SBOE).
Please note: All current 2024 Authorized Provider numbers expiring before April 30, 2026, will expire on the original date. Authorized Provider numbers expiring after May 1, 2026, will expire on April 30, 2026. To continue to provide EISO beyond that date, a new application and successful completion of EISO 2026 must be obtained through the process named below.
Updated Provider Process
Effective August 25, 2025, the process for becoming an authorized provider has been updated to reflect the latest State Board of Education rules. These changes, outlined in 19 TAC § 61.1(c)(1)(2)(3)(5), introduce new eligibility requirements for individuals seeking to offer school board training.
Becoming an Authorized Provider
To become an Authorized Provider, individuals must follow a five-step process:
- Become a Registered Provider
All applicants must meet the updated eligibility requirements, including fingerprinting, college graduation, and a clean criminal history. Organizations are no longer eligible to apply. Use the link below to submit your application.

Once individuals are Registered Providers, the next step is to apply for Authorized Provider status. The application includes the completion of a performance task. Use the link below to submit your application.

Please note that applications submitted at the last minute may not be approved on time for the next upcoming Training of Trainers session. However, they will still be reviewed for potential participation in future Training of Trainers sessions.
- Attend in-person Training of Trainers
After the successful completion of Step 2 above, participants will be invited to attend an eight-hour long in-person Training-of-Trainers. An email will be sent with access to links to register for one of the sessions below. Participants must be physically present the entire time and pass a written test on site with a 90% or better.

- At-Bat Practice
After the successful completion of Step 3 above, each participant will schedule a 15-minute practice session with an EISO Certification Coach to demonstrate EISO presentation proficiency. After a successful practice, the participant will receive a temporary Authorized Provider identification number. - Successful Facilitation of an EISO Workshop
Once a successful facilitation of an EISO workshop is evident, the individual with be considered an Authorized Provider. This number will expire on October 31, 2027.
