How Accountability Ratings Work
Accountability ratings are based on three domains: Student Achievement, School Progress, and Closing the Gaps. Use the resources below to learn how each domain is calculated. For technical details on how data are processed to produce accountability ratings, see the 2026 Accountability Manual.

This measures, for each individual school, what students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade. It also shows how well a school prepares their students for success after high school in college, the workforce, or the military. |

Completion Rates use the highest percentage of students who graduate in 4, 5, or 6 years to calculate the graduation rate score. |
