PEIMS 2014-2015 Data Collection Schedule

PEIMS data files are submitted four times each school year following a schedule established by the PEIMS Data Standards:
Fall (Collection 1)
Fall data are used to:
- Calculate compensatory entitlement
- Monitor special programs
- Report to the federal government
- Calculate retention
- Calculate basic profiles for AEIS
- Perform desk audits
Important Fall dates:
- Close of school-start window (last Friday in September): September 26, 2014
- EDIT+ ready to process data: October 6, 2014
- Snapshot Date (Last Friday in October): October 31, 2014
- EDIT+ ready for ESCs to accept LEA and ESC files: November 3, 2014
- First submission due date for LEAs and ESCs: December 4, 2014
- Resubmission due date for LEAs and ESCs: January 15, 2015
- Data available to customers: February 19, 2015
Midyear (Collection 2)
Midyear data include actual audited financial data from the previous year (2013-2014).
Midyear data are used to:
- Report to the state legislature
- Monitor special program expenditures
- Audit districts
- Perform desk audits
Important midyear dates:
- EDIT+ ready to process data: October 6, 2014
- EDIT+ ready for ESCs to accept LEA and ESC files: December 8, 2014
- First submission due date for LEAs and ESCs: January 29, 2015
- Resubmission due date for LEAs and ESCs: February 12, 2015
- Data available to customers: March 5, 2015
Summer (Collection 3)
Summer data include:
- Student attendance data
- Course completion data
- Discipline data
- Restraint data
- Title I, Part A data
Summer data are used to:
- Calculate FSP final allotments
- Calculate attendance and course completion
- Create a portion of the AEIS
- Augment the monitoring of special programs
- Perform desk audits
Important dates:
- EDIT+ ready to process data: April 6, 2015
- EDIT+ ready for ESCs to accept LEA files: May 11, 2015
- First submission due date for LEAs: June 25, 2015
- Resubmission due date for LEAs*: July 23, 2015*
- Data available to customers: September 18, 2015
Extended Year (Collection 4)
Extended year data include:
- Optional extended year program (OEYP) data
- Extended school year services (ESY) data
- Bilingual/English as a Second Language (ESL) summer school program
Extended year data are used to:
- Calculate ESY funding
- Calculate BIL/ESL summer school funding
- Monitor special programs
- Perform desk audits
Important extended year dates:
- EDIT+ ready to process data: April 6, 2015
- EDIT+ ready for ESCs to accept LEA files: August 10, 2015
- First submission due date for LEAs: September 3, 2015
- Resubmission due date for LEAs: September 24, 2015
- Data available to customers: October 22, 2015
*LEAs registered with TEA with year-round tracks ending later than June 25, 2015 may delay resubmission until two weeks following completion of the latest year-round track or August 20, 2015, whichever comes first. However, the initial data delivery for submission 3 must still be made by June 25, 2015, for all LEAs. In no case will any resubmission be processed after August 20, 2015. Corrections made beyond August 20, 2015 will be handled by State Funding.
