Certification by exam requiring a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)
Educators who hold a current valid classroom teaching certificate and bachelors degree may add marketing, health science and trades and industrial education with verified work experience and current licensure when required.
Experience and Licensure Verification Options
Verification of experience and licensure can be through an approved educator preparation program or employing school district.
- Experience and licensure can be verified by an approved educator preparation program (EPP) that offers the area of certification you are seeking.
- Experience and licensure can be verified by a certified administrator at your employing school district. A district is not required to offer this service. If your district chooses not to offer this service you must contact an approved EPP.
- You must complete the Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) and provide current licensure, if required, to an EPP or your employing school district.
- Eligible military experience may be used in lieu of civilian licensure and wage-earning experience. You will need to include forms DD-2586 and DD-214 with your SOQ.
