Program of Study Refresh Public Comment

The proposed updates to CTE programs of study align to current labor market information analysis and the changing needs of the Texas workforce. These recommended updates are based on recommendations from the CTE Programs of Study Advisory Committee comprised of educators and industry representatives which convened following CTE regional listening tours.

The cover page for each Career Cluster will list the current programs of study names on the left and proposed name updates on the right in blue. The key on the cover page explains recommended updates to the programs of study proposed update pages. The current programs of study names are linked to the current programs of study frameworks for comparison.

The public comment period  was open from July 13, 2023, through August 14, 2023 (now closed). Based on the feedback received during the public comment period, additional updates may be made to the programs of study before they are finalized and released in fall 2023.
