This letter is to inform school districts and open-enrollment charter schools (school systems) about the closing of data collection State Performance Plan Indicator 14 (Post-school Outcomes) in the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) for the State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR).
SPPI 14 Data Collection
The TSDS State Performance Plan Indicator (SPPI) 14 Post-school Outcomes collection opened on August 5, 2024. This collection gathers contact information for students with disabilities who exited a school system in the 2023-24 school year. SPPI 14 fulfills the federal public reporting requirement on post-school outcomes for the SPP/APR, per 20 U.S.C. 1416(a)(3)(B).
Key Dates
- Ready for users to load data to the Individual Operational Data Stores (IODS): August 5, 2024
- Ready for users to promote data: September 16, 2024
- Ready for users to complete: October 28, 2024
- Submission deadline: February 20, 2025
- Data available to customers: March 6, 2025

Inclusion Criteria for Students in the SPPI 14 Data Submission
The SPPI 14 data submission must include students with disabilities who had an individualized education program (IEP) and meet the following criteria:
2023-24 School Year
- Were enrolled in grades 9-12 during the 2023-24 school year
- Had an IEP and received special education during the 2023-24 school year
- Reported in the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) Fall or Summer data submission for the 2023-24 school year
2024-25 School Year
- Exited the school system for the 2024-25 school year
- Had a leaver record (ExitWithdrawType E1001) as defined by one of the following leaver codes (ExitWithdrawType C162) reported in the 2024-25 PEIMS Fall data submission (see SPPI 14 Requirements):
- 01 (Graduated)
- 90 (Graduated from another state under provisions of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children)
- 24 (Withdrew to enter college)
- 88 (Court-Ordered to a High School Equivalency Program)
- 98 (Other)
- Are not enrolled in a school system during the 2024-25 school year

School System Special Education Program Responsibilities
School system program staff should coordinate with their data steward to ensure the requirements are met:
- Submitting current, complete, and accurate SPPI 14 data to the TSDS
- Validating data per business rules and validations
- Correcting all errors during the data validation process in a timely manner
- Delivering “fatal-free” corrected SPPI 14 data on or before the deadline set by TEA
