Overview

The purpose of this To the Administrator Addressed (TAA) correspondence is to announce the 2024-2025 Safe and Supportive School Program data collection. In accordance with Texas Education Code, §37.115(k), school systems are required to report Safe and Supportive School Program team activity to the Texas Education Agency (TEA). This notification helps the TEA ensure schools have the tools and information necessary to accurately submit the required data.

Safe and Supportive School Program Data Reporting

Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, SSSP data reporting will be conducted in Sentinel. Superintendents, Designees, and District BTA coordinators can find information in Sentinel on how to grant campus administrators access to complete the survey.

  • Data collection window: June 2 – August 29, 2025

Each school system is responsible for ensuring that SSSP data is reported for each campus by August 29, 2025. It is strongly recommended that school systems develop procedures for tracking the submission of campus data to ensure that the mandatory reporting deadline has been met.

Campus SSSP teams can prepare for reporting now by utilizing the downloadable data collection tool and reviewing the 2024-2025 SSSP Survey. Both items can be accessed on the TEA Safe and Supportive Schools webpage

Campus Admin Role
To support the SSSP reporting at the campus level, there is now a Campus Admin role that allows for campus-level reporting, user management, and campus administrative functions. Superintendents and their designee(s) can find more information in the Sentinel User Manual in Sentinel.
