The purpose of this letter is to notify school systems that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is updating the due dates of the Final Expenditure Report and Revised Final Expenditure Report for active federal and state-funded grants.

As per 2 CFR 200.344(a), “… A subrecipient must submit to the pass-through entity, no later than 90 calendar days (or an earlier date as agreed upon by the pass-through entity and subrecipient) after the end date of the period of performance, all financial, performance, and other reports as required by the terms and conditions of the Federal award.”

Therefore, TEA’s Grant Compliance and Administration Department has adjusted the Final Expenditure Report and Revised Final Expenditure Report due dates for applicable active federal and state-funded grants to reflect 90 calendar days after the grant period end date, without adjustments for weekends and holidays. Due dates for each grant are available in the Critical Events section listed on the TEA Grant Opportunities webpage.

As a friendly reminder, grantees are responsible for regularly monitoring the webpage for updated grant information and meeting all due dates and other grant requirements.
