Attention Applicants: CAPPS Careers System Transition (1)

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is transitioning to a new job application system. The new system will be available June 29, 2026. To help you prepare, please review the important dates and required actions below.

Important Dates
- June 26, 2026: Last day to apply for positions in the current application system (CAPPS Recruit/Taleo).
- June 29, 2026: The new TEA job application system will be available to applicants.
- August 31, 2026: Final day to access the current application system.

What You Need to Know
- All applicants will need to create a new account in the new system.
- Information from the current system will not transfer to the new platform.
- This includes resumes, cover letters, recommendation letters, application history, and any uploaded documents.

Action Required
Before August 31, 2026, we strongly encourage you to log in to the current system and download copies of any materials you may want to use in future applications, including:
- Resumes
- Cover letters
- Recommendation letters
- Supporting documents and attachments
You will need to upload these materials again when you create your account in the new system starting June 29, 2026.
