- The Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) Request for Instructional Materials (RFIM) is now available. Publishers must submit responses to the RFIM by 5:00 p.m. CT Monday, March 4, 2024. IMRA Cycle 24 includes full-subject, tier-one instructional materials for K–5 English and Spanish language arts and reading and K–12 mathematics and partial-subject, tier-one instructional materials for K–3 English and Spanish phonics. TEA is hosting IMRA office hours on Wednesday, February 28, and Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. CT to answer questions about the RFIM and IMRA.
- The SBOE approved quality IMRA rubrics for K–3 and 4–8 English language arts and reading, K–3 and 4–6 Spanish language arts and reading, and K–12 mathematics and approved an IMRA suitability rubric at the January–February meeting. These rubrics will be used to evaluate instructional materials submissions for the inaugural IMRA review cycle.
- We are now accepting applications for the upcoming IMRA review. Anyone with relevant content expertise for K–5 English and Spanish language arts and reading, K–3 English and Spanish phonics, or K–12 mathematics is encouraged to apply.

TEA provides support and coordination for the review, adoption, and distribution of state-adopted instructional materials and provides Texas educators with direct access to select materials.
