2022-2023 Effective Advising Planning for New Coaches

The planning and implementation of an individual student planning system within the context of a comprehensive school counseling program in a school district is essential to students' academic, career, personal, and social development. This grant project supports school districts in the leadership and strategic planning of an individual student planning system, aligned to the Effective Advising Framework (EAF), with technical assistance provided by new Effective Advising Framework Planning Coaches (EAF Coaches) who are working toward designation.

The specific purpose of this grant project is to support the identification and training of new EAF Coaches located regionally at the Education Service Center, and for the EAF Coaches to convene and coach a minimum of two school districts through the assessment of current advising practices and development of a strategic plan for individual student planning aligned to the levers, essential actions, and key practices of the EAF. At the successful completion of this grant project, prospective EAF Coaches will receive EAF Planning Coach designation.

Grant Period

From August 11, 2022, to August 31, 2023.
