Getting Started
- Check out TEA's webpage on filing a PIR: You will find information and guidance on how to submit a PIR online or by mail, email, fax, or phone.
- If you can’t find your answer, contact us—we’re here for you: You can reach us at pir@tea.texas.gov or (512) 463-3464. When leaving a voicemail or sending an email, please include your first and last name, your phone number, your question, and any other relevant information.
Helpful Tips
- The email address and fax number on TEA’s PIR webpage are designated by the Commissioner of Education to receive PIRs: Requests for information received at any other agency e-mail address or fax number are not subject to Public Information Act requirements.
- If you have a complaint or concern, we can help with that too: If you start the questionnaire from the beginning and click the complaint option, we will ask you a few questions to lead you to the best way to report your issue.
- Share your feedback with us: TEA values your opinion! Email us at teafeedback@tea.texas.gov.
