Standards for Teacher Appraisal

A Teacher Appraisal Advisory Committee (TAAC) was formed to provide advice for the revision of the Professional Development and Appraisal System. This committee included teachers and principals representing elementary, middle, and high school levels, teaching at tested or non-tested subject areas, representing the diversity of our state. The TAAC engaged in the revision process through 2013 and early 2014. The revised system they designed, T-TESS (Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System), will be piloted during the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years.
