Alignment Studies

House Bill 3, 86th Texas Legislature, 2019, STAAR Study

House Bill 3, 86th Texas Legislature, 2019, required the Commissioner of Education to direct a study on the state assessment instruments to independently evaluate the readability and alignment. 

House Bill 743, 84th Texas Legislature, 2015, STAAR Study

House Bill 743, 84th Texas Legislature, 2015, required TEA to conduct an independent evaluation of the validity and reliability of the STAAR grades 3–8 tests.
