As part of the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) commitment to transparency and accountability, and in alignment with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004, the agency has released the State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR) indicator reports for the federal fiscal year (FFY) 2023. These reports provide results at the LEA, regional and statewide levels measured against the state targets for SPP indicators.
SPP Reporting Timeline
TEA must annually report to the public on the performance of each LEA against the targets in the SPP as soon as practicable but no later than 120 days after submitting its APR to the U.S. Department of Education, as required by 34 CFR §300.602(b)(1)(i)(A) and QA 23-01.
- SPP/APR Submission Date: February 3, 2025
- Public Release of SPP Reports: April 30, 2025
The timeline allowed for 86 days between submission and public release, ensuring compliance with the 120-day federal requirement as stated in 34 CFR §300.602(b)(1)(i)(A).
Accessing the SPP Indicator Reports
Users can publicly access and download the LEA, regional and statewide reports on the “SPP Public Report Generator” webpage, where users can customize their search by:
- Selecting the “School Year”
- Choosing a “Report Format” (PDF or HTML)
- Selecting a “Report Level” (state, regional, or LEA)
The first year of a school year corresponds to the federal fiscal year (FFY). For example, the 2023-24 school year corresponds to FFY 2023, for which the APR was submitted on February 3, 2025.
