Adopted State Board for Educator Certification Rules - Subject to SBOE Review

The State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) has adopted the following rule actions subject to the State Board of Education (SBOE) review required by the Texas Education Code, §21.042. If the SBOE reviews and takes no action on a rule, the agency will file it with the Texas Register and determine a future effective date. Adopted Amendment to 19 TAC Chapter 232, General Certification Provisions, Subchapter A, Certificate Renewal and Continuing Professional Education Requirements, §232.9, Inactive Status and Late Renewal

Summary: The proposed amendment would clarify procedures used by the automated system to process late applications submitted for standard certificate renewal. The proposed amendment was adopted, subject to SBOE review, with no changes from what was published as proposed.
