In the 2007-2008 school year, TEA implemented new Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) reading tests for grades 2–12. TEA released the first tests in spring 2010, and spring 2014 tests are now available for use.

TEA provides TELPAS reading released tests in the online interface used for the spring administration. Districts can administer these released tests to students for diagnostic purposes. TestNav 8 does not generate a test summary. If you would like to score your student's practice test, you should direct your student to record his or her answers on a separate sheet of paper. Then you can use the answer key below to score the practice test. To determine a student's proficiency level rating, use the appropriate TELPAS reading raw score conversion table. Use the links below to access Spring 2010 and 2014 TELPAS released tests.

NOTE: Students must complete tests in one sitting. Student's answers cannot be saved to resume later.
