The Texas Education Agency (TEA) Grow Your Own (GYO) program is launching a new grant cycle focused on supporting high school Education & Training Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming. Started in 2018, the purpose of the grant is for districts to intentionally build strong and stable teacher pipelines from within their own communities based on district-specific teacher workforce needs. This grant focuses on the recruitment of future educators by building interest in teaching among high school students, developing their foundational knowledge and skills of teaching, attracting highly skilled teachers to lead Education & Training programs, and implementing high-quality Education & Training courses.

On February 1, 2024, TEA will post the application on the TEA Grant Opportunities website.
