Monitoring and Interventions

  • The Division of School Improvement (SI), formerly known as Program Monitoring and Interventions, staff reviews PBMAS data, PBM data validation monitoring analyses, and accountability data to identify campuses and local education agencies (LEAs include districts and charter schools) requiring supports and intervention activities.  SI staff then coordinates with LEAs and campuses to complete data analyses and needs assessments, organize improvement planning, and provide continuous monitoring.

School Improvement and Support staff, who are now part of the Division of School Improvement, oversees state-level administration of school improvement programs, supports, and interventions for campuses identified under federal accountability standards.  These campuses include Priority, Focus, and Reward Schools as identified under the TEA's Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 Flexibility Waiver.
