Assessment Scoring and Reporting
The Texas assessment program and the data it provides play an important role in decision making about student performance and in public education accountability. Individual student test scores are used for promotion, graduation, and remediation. In addition, the aggregated student performance results from the student assessment program are a major component of state and federal accountability systems used to rate individual public schools and school districts in Texas. The data are also used in education research and in the establishment of public policy. Therefore, it is essential that the tests are scored correctly and reported accurately to school districts. Assessment Scoring and Reporting team verifies the accuracy of the work and the data produced by the testing contractors through a comprehensive verification system.
