Student Assessment TETN Schedule

We use the Texas Education Telecommunications Network (TETN) to present on timely topics throughout the year, including program updates and additional training. Districts can access the TETNs through their Educational Service Centers (ESC).

Title: 2018 LPAC Training
Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Audience: ESCs staff

Summary: This TETN is a training of trainers (TOT) for designated ESC staff to train districts to guide language proficiency assessment committees (LPACs) in making assessment and accommodation decisions for English language learners (ELLs) participating in state's assessment program. This training is not open to districts.

Title: 2017 Fall Update STAAR Alt 2 #4851

Summary: This TETN will serve as the Fall update training for regions, districts, and campuses regarding 2018 STAAR Alternate 2 assessment policies. Presenters will discuss updates on web resources for test administrators and coordinators and present updates regarding alternate assessment policy.

Summary: This TETN will serve as the state-level training for regions, districts, and campuses regarding 2018 statewide assessment accommodation policies. Presenters will discuss where to find accommodation information, how to determine student eligibility for accommodations, and how to document accommodation decisions and use. Questions will need to be routed through ESCs and will be answered as time allows.
