SUMMARY: This item will provide an update on legislation passed by the 84th Texas Legislature during the regular session.

BOARD RESPONSE: Review and comment.

FUTURE ACTION EXPECTED: Staff will provide a report on legislation affecting public education.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND SIGNIFICANT ISSUES: The 84th Session of the Texas Legislature convened on January 13, 2015 and concluded on June 1, 2015.

OTHER COMMENTS AND RELATED ISSUES: None.
