    Milken Award Recipient Announced

    Congratulations to Krystal Contreras of San Benito ISD for receiving the Milken Educator Award. Contreras is a fourth-grade writing teacher at Dr. C.M. Cash Elementary School and the only Texas educator receiving the national award during the 2018-2019 school year.

    Nominate a Volunteer as a Hero for Children

    Recognize the contributions of your local school volunteers by nominating them for the SBOE’s Heroes for Children Award. Nominations are being accepted through 5 p.m. (CDT) June 14. A Texas resident who gives time, service, or support to the public schools and students may be nominated for the award.
