Pilot Teacher Survey to Evaluate Educator Preparation Programs

New teachers under a standard certificate must respond to a survey at the end of the first year of teaching regarding the effectiveness of educator programs (EPPs) in preparing them to succeed in the classroom.  The information gathered will assist in improving the educational experience for teacher candidates through EPPs.   The survey applies only to new teachers that completed an EPP in Texas and is authorized by Senate Bill 174, passed by the 81st Texas Legislature in 2009, included  in 19 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 229, Accountability System for Educator Preparation (ASEP).

Teachers will receive an email on April 18, 2018 with a link to the survey to be completed.  The email will be sent to the email address associated with their Educator Certification Online System (ECOS) Educator account.  It is important that all pilot teacher surveys are submitted by June 15, 2018.  Teachers will receive 10 continuing professional education (CPE) hours upon completion of the survey.
