Monitoring and Interventions

The Data Reporting Compliance Unit (DRCU) within TEA's Office of Information Technology Business Management Division works together with local educational agencies (LEAs) to improve data submission and support multiple data-driven systems by examining the data submitted through the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) as well as PBM data validation indicators against required data submission standards for compliance.

Results Driven Accountability (RDA) Data and Reports, formerly Performance-Based Monitoring Analysis System (PBMAS), is an automated data system that reports annually on the performance of LEAs in selected program areas (bilingual education/English as a second language, career and technical education, certain federal Title programs, and special education).

The School Improvement Division supports the state’s goal to improve low-performing schools by reviewing, evaluating, monitoring, and intervening with campuses and their districts to ensure excellence in education for all students. The major responsibilities of the division include monitoring and interventions for state accountability, federal accountability, and dropout recovery.
