TEA has drafted an initial corrective action plan regarding the support and delivery of special education services in our state’s public schools. The initial draft addresses all issues identified in a recent federal monitoring report.
The final State ESSA Plan has been formally submitted to the USDE. The state plan, submitted on March 6, 2018, represents the final version to be reviewed by U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos.
The Texas Commission on Public School Finance will meet Monday, March 19, 2018. The agenda is posted and the meeting will be webcast. Registration is also available to sign up for public testimony.
