The Teaching, Empowering, Leading, and Learning (TELL) Texas Survey is now in full swing. The TELL Texas Survey is designed to elicit information regarding district and campus teaching and learning conditions, especially those conditions that have an influence on student achievement. As of May 8th, more than 60,000 educators throughout the state have participated. Their feedback will provide valuable information districts and campuses will use to improve their learning environment.
Wide participation is essential to producing robust and reliable results envisioned with the passage of House Bill 2012 (83rd Legislative Session). While educators themselves are not required to participate in the survey, they must have the opportunity to participate. I ask that you please assure the materials necessary for educators to take part in the TELL Texas Survey are distributed to help us ensure we have meaningful results.
The survey will close on May 31, 2014. If your district needs assistance in securing or locating access codes for survey participation, please visit http://telltexas.org/help/index
or call 800-310-2964.
I recognize this is an especially busy time of the school year for you and your teachers, and appreciate your assistance. Please contact Mike Vriesenga at Michael.Vriesenga@tea.texas.gov
