December 5, 2012: 2012 Texas Consolidated State Application Workbook - The Texas AYP Workbook was submitted to the United States Department of Education (USDE) on February 15, 2012 and, at USDE's request, resubmitted with their requested revisions on November 13, 2012. The USDE recently provided final decisions in response to Texas workbook amendments.

June 14, 2012: June Texas Education Telecommunications Network (TETN) Accountability Update - TEA provides an update on the 2012 AYP Guide, key dates, and calculations. A brief update on the 2013 State Accountability process was also provided. A PDF of this presentation is also available.

May 24, 2012: May TETN Accountability Update (Updated 5/31/12) - This TETN session provides district and Educational Service Center (ESC) staff with detailed information about the federal cap process on STAAR Alternate, STAAR Modified, and TAKS-M proficient results used to calculate 2012 AYP. The session also describes the option for districts to submit changes to the federal cap campus priority list used for 2012 AYP performance calculations for STAAR Modified and TAKS-M. TETN federal cap background information and TETN federal cap examples were also reviewed during the session. A PDF of this presentation is also available

February 17, 2012: USDE Approves STAAR Bridge Study - USDE has approved Texas' proposal to conduct a bridge study between the State of Texas of Academic Readiness (STAAR) and the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) for the purpose of evaluating AYP in 2012.

November 17, 2011: November TETN Accountability Update - TEA provides the release schedule for Final 2011 AYP results, a preview of 2012 AYP processing, and information on the timeline for and review of the 2012 Texas AYP Workbook. A table of possible changes in the assessments used for 2012 AYP calculations is also provided.

October 12, 2011: 2011 Texas Consolidated State Application Workbook - The Texas AYP Workbook was submitted to USDE on June 28, 2011. USDE recently provided final decisions in response to Texas workbook amendments.

August 18, 2011: August TETN Accountability Update - This TETN session provides an update to regional ESCs on preliminary 2011 AYP results, AYP appeals processing information, the release schedule for Final 2011 AYP results, and a preview of 2012 AYP processing. May 19, 2011: May TETN Accountability Update (Updated 5/23/11) - This TETN session provides district and ESC staff with detailed information about the federal cap process on TAKS-Alt and TAKS-M proficient results used to calculate 2011 AYP. April 22, 2011: Final Commissioner of Education Decision on use of Texas Projection Measure for 2011 Adequate Yearly Progress Calculations - TEA provides the Commissioner's final decisions on the state accountability system for 2011, which include decisions regarding federal accountability.

April 19, 2011: April TETN Accountability Update - TEA provides a preview of the 2011 AYP process, reviews submitted Texas AYP Workbook Amendments, and provides information on 2012 Texas AYP Workbook Amendments.
