Nonpublic Day and Residential Guidance

A school district may contract for a nonpublic placement when a student’s admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) committee determines that placement is necessary in order for the student to receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE). A school district that intends to contract for nonpublic placement and request for approval of state and federal funding must notify TEA through the Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEASE) Nonpublic/High Cost Funds application process.
