Approved Coordinated School Health Programs

Coordinated School Health Programs

The TEA is required by law to make available to each school district one or more coordinated health programs designed to prevent obesity, cardiovascular disease, and Type 2 diabetes in elementary school, middle school, and junior high school students. Each program must provide for coordinating health education; including oral health education, physical education and physical activity, nutrition services, and parental involvement.

Currently approved Coordinated School Health Programs are listed below. Additional programs are still under review. Information regarding approval of these programs is expected to be available in mid-August 2014.
