    NIFA Application Deadline Extended

    The Texas Education Agency has extended the application deadline for the 2015-2016 New Instructional Facility Allotment to Monday, Aug. 17. The program reimburses districts and charters for start-up costs associated with new school construction.

    Two Texans Win PAEMST Award

    Two teachers – Jessica Caviness (Coppell ISD) and Michalle McCallister (Fort Sam Houston ISD) – were recently named the Texas winners of the 2013 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).

    Five New Charters to Open

      Five Generation Twenty charter school applicants successfully completed the final step of the state’s application process on July 17 allowing them to begin operation in Texas for the 2016-2017 school year once any contingencies are met.
