New Career and Technical Education
Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for 2017-2018

The State Board of Education recently adopted new Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Career and Technical Education (CTE). The new CTE TEKS will become effective beginning with the 2017-2018 school year. The links below provide access to the rule text for each of the sixteen Career Clusters (TAC §130) and the career development courses (TAC §127).

Schools should continue to use the current CTE TEKS during the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years.

Course Crosswalks

The course crosswalks show the correlation between the 2010 adopted TEKS currently in use and the new 2015 adopted TEKS that will be implemented in 2017-2018.
