This item provides an opportunity for the board to receive a presentation on Region 6 Morgan's Angels Homebound Program. This program uses robots to help homebound students stay connected with school. The robot is able to attend class and transmit audio and video signals to the homebound student, allowing the child to continue to be a part of classes. The program has grown to 11 robots and one loaner, and has helped 20 students in 16 school districts. This is the largest program of robots for homebound students in the United States.
